Hi Guys , hoping you can help, I have a 78 CB750K. The headlight glass rattles / vibrates making a horrible sound. What am I missing . Does it need springs And if so where can I get them from.

Thanks

Recommended Sources for Parts and Services / Bars and bolt

Hi All

Apologies is the answer is already on the site I couldn’t find it.

I’m trying to replace my handle bars and bolts for ignition points cover.I’ve got a CB750K 1978 import.I live in UK Worcestershire.

A gravelly skid hurt my pride and a lot of chrome work ...
David Silver has sorted me for most things.Ive tried about 8 bike shops and two failed purchases on eBay! ( yes I’ve tried giving them the measurements , lost in translation I guess)

I’m looking for bars with a 4in rise or ideally a bit less that I don’t have to change cable set up with.

Thanks

Alex

I go to this place near Stratford on Avon , the guy is really experienced with CB750’s and also doesn’t rip you off.

You have to take the clutch lever off the bike, then it just pushes out. Fit the new one from the lever side by threading the wires through then pulling gently until the switch positions itself in the recess.

Thanks for the advise , all fitted now. Seemed bloody obvious once you’d told me !

This is probably a dumb question , so apologies in advance, I’m trying to replace the clutch switch. On my clutch lever there is a bit of plastic sticking out where I’m guessing the old one broke off , how do I get this out . I can see a small hole on bottom of clutch lever as per photo I’ve tried this but no luck .Do I just use more force and pull old bit of plastic out ?

Thanks

Alex

Thanks Trigger, in that case I’ve got the Diode, do I just connect the green and red wire in the headlight direct to the clutch switch then ?

Cheers

Alex

Hello
Does anyone know where I can get a clutch switch diode from , I live in the UK and I’ve got a 1978 CB750K .
I’ve got a green and red wire in the headlight which I think need a diode .I’ve managed to find a new clutch switch on eBay but looking at the diagram and reading the forums  I think I need a diode to connect the two .
Please let me know if I’m wrong as I’m very new to this !
Thanks in advance

Alex

These warning light cover are a pattern part, quite OK but you need to check the lenses are secure in the cover as they have been known to fall out. A spot of two part resin adhesive on the inside around the lens corners would be a wise move. Re-fitting with the correct screws is important.
Thanks for the advise , much appreciated , I’ve ordered one  and will use the resin adhesive.
