I'd volunteer in a shot Stan, too far though I'm afraid.
What are the symptoms? Or is it just generally shagged?

I have had trouble in the past with the electrics on my pr mostly due to verdgres(not sure of the spelling) or copper corrosion.my honda cut out twice in holland ,everything dead. pooped myself so far from home but each time when left for a while cured itself , i traced it back to the ignition switch which was full of green muck,i may have been partly to blame for using two 100w headlight bulbs and overloading the wiring as the lights are crap in the dark, anyway a friend of mine who is a master in the black arts fitted two relays from a mk3 escort and the problem did not reoccur the bikes been off the road for quite some time so the wiring is one area that i will have to spend some time on before i trust it on long journeys. does anyone makes new looms for the f2?
cheers

Most of the electrical faults can be traced to the crap connectors, I fixed most of mine by systamatically going thru the loom and replacing the greenest (gunge wise) ones, you can buy the proper spade and crimps, push out the old ones nout of the connectors crimp and push in a new one, you can buy the bullets too
I used these guys http://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/product_list/6 (http://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/product_list/6), We fixed a lot of the connectors of my bro's GPZ 600 too.

Just did the same to my F1, cleaned every last connector, spotted on the dialectric grease and hey presto it all works, be very slow and methodical. I also got rid of any mods that I had made to the electrics since buying it new in 1976. Alos check all the frame ground points and clean them up.
Cheers

hi, past owners have hacked n chopped at the wiring, and to top it all i cant find my manuals to at least have a go at it,it was running and all was well then it just gave up. have obtained a loom off a 750 ss from usa, slightly worried the lighting may be hard wired on this loom.
