Morning all,
Another question if that's OK...
The short pipe by the oil filter is a bodged bit of crumbling hose on mine and seems to be NLA as replacement - part 69 on attache image.
Is this just 'any old' bit of fuel / oil hose or does it need to be anything more?
[attach=1]
Also replacing the various other fuel / vent hoses and assume that the description in parts books show the internal id and overall length. od being unimportant - is that correct?
Cheers,
Andy

It gets hot and oily so it's got to be robust. Do you really want to risk blocked oil ducts from using below-spec rubber.

Don't buy OEM part numbered items, if you can find them, they are a rip off. Get all you need from here

Thanks for quick responses
Mike - Quite agree and I always use good quality hoses, I just wasn't sure if this oil pipe was anything 'special' as the one in mine is clearly a later replacement but is quite a thick braided hose but in poor condition. I have a box of bits and pieces of hoses from previous restorations and some have the right id so I just wanted to check if anything above and beyond was needed for this hose.
Julie - many thanks for the link - I'll shoot to ebay and order up hoses from them.
I guess the garden hose used on the engine top breather wasn't a period upgrade either so I'll replace that as well!
Cheers,
Andy

Just check the routing of the top breather hose and some others. A hose with too big an od will not fit the clips or hole at back of crankcase. 🤔
