Ok i know - "dont buy a bike in boxes" - but i have, a 400. Looking forward to the challenge.
I'm Steve from the Isle of Anglesey.

Yours looks like a reasonable starting point with a substantial looking skeleton to start from - enjoy the build - they are a helpful bunch of folk here as I'm sure you will find out.
Welcome to the Forum.

That'll be on the road by the weekend 😁😁😁😁 Welcome to the Forum.

Welcome to the forum Steve - you'll have no problem converting those boxes to a great bike with the help of our 400 experts!.
Love Angelsey by the way - just got back from Rhosneigr in the motorhome

Welcome from me too, and if you keep to Julie's timeline you won't miss any of the summer........this year. :)

Thanks all. I've no doubt i'll have loads of questions as it progresses. I've restored quite a few Jap bikes over the years. Currently have a CB750Kz in the garage (its a keeper).
Thanks again.

Its a great area, often go to Llandona beach , (massive isnt it?) and walk to Red Wharf. We're near Bull Bay but nowhere on the island is far away. :)

Great set of boxes to start with though, fair play. :D
I'm with Julie on that one :D
Welcome and enjoy, ask what you can and enjoy your bike. 8)
Have a look at Julies build thread on her 400, its like a bible and super, super helpful, her and Trigger are proper SOHC Jedi's as are a great deal of the chaps on here ;)
Enjoy

Box of bits bikes are great, my first 550 was collected as a pile of collapsing mouldy boxes full of manky bits of metal, I learnt a lot putting that pile of scrap back together into a running bike, looks like you've started from a more sensible point.

Welcome aboard ! Loads of my bikes came in boxes of bits inc. CB72, CB450 Bomber, S90 and CB92 .. it's like a big boys jigsaw puzzle .. very frustrating sometimes when a tiny bit is missing and ends up 'unobtanium' but very rewarding once it all comes together.
I sold my 300 miler 'shed find' CX500B to a guy in Wales and he sent it to a bike restorer in Anglesey.. I also occasionally make batches of electronics modules for a company there called Joloda International .. I think the bike restorer was pretty close to them. ...the bike appeared on Facebook totally restored a couple of years later
