Title: Honda Britain
Post by: RWG on April 17, 2012, 01:43:26 PM
Hi,

I am rebuilding my newly aquired Honda Britain, my question is are there better options for head stock & steering stem bearings and does anyone have a part type or number.
I am unsure about the loose ball bearing type thought they obviously work, but I would like to improve if I can use a more modern approach to the ball bearing type.
Cheers

Yes, you can use taper roller bearings for your bike. They will be the same as any other SOHC 750, and are available in many places, although Dave Silver Spares is probably your best bet, and not too expensive either! ;D

If you have ordered taper roller bearings from D.S check the roller cage is not distorted and misaligning the rollers before fitting them.  Mine was and had to be returned.
