Title: Cb750 K2 / HM341 baffles
Post by: Lobo on January 24, 2013, 05:29:24 PM
.... won't be playing with the bike for a couple of months and simply wanted to squirt WD40 down the 'pipes for laying up. Removed the single 10mm bolt from each pipe... but the baffles showing no signs of wanting to let go. Any tips / tricks? What's the best 'bit' to pull on?!
Thanks...

Hi lobo

You don't get removable baffles in the hm341's  only in the hm300's
Loads of WD40 and a large flat head screwdriver on the back edge of the diffuser and a gentle tap will get them out and then you will see the baffles inside

Cheers Mick,
Still a bit confused....do I take it that the 'diffuser' is the only removable bit on the '341's?  And if the baffes are non-removable am I wasting my time trying to get a clear passage down the pipe to take a squirt of WD40?
Many thanks...

The diffuser is the only removable bit.I still squirt WD40 down my pipes and wrap a bit of plastic around the end of the pipes to keep the damp out as my bikes share the garage with the tumble dryer  :(
