Desperately Seeking!! / CB750K7 accelerator pump

Long shot. Anyone holding spare parts for pd41a carbs? I need a functioning bowl for the accelerator pump, the one way valve in mine is jammed up and preventing the pump from pumping fuel! Thanks.

The last pic shows an o ring put in instead of the solid rubber cap/gasket. The o ring came with the carb rebuild kit and appears to fit perfectly and has no use anywhere else on the carbs from what I can make out. Not sure which option to go with. Leaning towards the o ring. 🤷🏼‍♂️

CB750 / K7 carb question
« on: June 08, 2023, 09:42:19 PM »
Evening all. Recently purchased my second cb750k, an unfinished project. Just going through the pd41a carbs and am curious about the ball/spring set up that appears to live in the base of the accelerator pump and from what I can make out, one in the no.2 carb bowl. I believe their purpose is to be a type of non return valve for the fuel. My main question is, where the valve sits in the bowl I have a rubber solid gasket as opposed to an oring. Was this standard? It seems odd as it effectively blanks the flow between the bowl and the accelerator pump jet that sits directly above. Should it be a normal o ring? Are these important in the function of the carbs? Any info appreciated. Photos attached to try and make some sense of my waffle. 😂

CB750 / Re: 750 K5 choke

Hi mate, thanks for response. Standard exhausts (I think David silver 341 replicas), standard airbox and filter. Bike seems to run great once warm. No popping/farting. I guess it prefers to be rolled on the throttle a little at low revs instead of being snapped open but I assumed that’s fairly standard. Have synced carbs etc. Yet to do a plug check actually, though I should have done by now. I was pretty fussy when assembling the carbs so happy the slides are all functioning as they should. Ive done around 800miles since getting it running after being stood for years. Us import bike. Float heights were all set to 26mm if I remember correctly and double checked using the clear tube method.

CB750 / 750 K5 choke
« on: October 02, 2021, 02:36:50 PM »
Afternoon all,
My bike doesn’t seem to need choke to start, and in fact the choke seems to have little/no effect until the lever is fully raised towards the tank at which point the bike will just shut down. I normally just start it and keep it idling on the throttle until warm or sometimes I will adjust idle screw until warm then back it off. It’s something that’s always made me curious as to why it is this way. I guess it would be nice to flick the choke lever up until it’s warm then back it off as necessary. Anyone able to shed light on what could be wrong? I’d have to double check but I’m 90% sure all jetting is standard. Thanks.

Thanks Phil. I’ve just ordered some ikon progressive fork springs and some tec rear shocks. Should do the trick. Cheers.

Afternoon all! My CB750 K5 needs new fork springs, does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this? Seems to be the progressive yss or the ikon/koni springs available? Anyone have experience with either? Will they require any extra spacers or straight swap for old springs? Thanks, Ben.

Thanks for all your help everyone. Appreciate it, I planned on using one of the redice stencils from Diego. Is anybody able to confirm the 14mm x 130mm measurements on the 750k for us? Cheers.

CB750 / Seat logo
« on: February 03, 2020, 01:32:06 PM »
Hi, first post of many I’m sure. I’m looking to spray the Honda logo on the back of my cb750 K5 seat.  Have scoured the forum and got some helpful info on paint. Would anybody be kind enough to give me an idea of the measurements of the logo and an idea of exact location when it comes to applying the stencil? Cheers.
