Misc / Open / Re: Colour scheme suggestion for my tank & side panels?
« on: November 09, 2021, 05:36:13 AM »
Maybe do a little more than look at the youtube clip and have a look at the company... it expalins their system... and it is FAR from Just being a simple Single stage metallic paint job...

I know full well the "true" methodology of Traditional Candy Paint but this system gives excellent results (see some of their examples) and simple blending in case of damage... not something you can do with traditional candy paint (well most painters cant)

Other than that.... It was a COLOUR Suggestion... as per the Subject of the Thread.

This is probably a bit out of left field and difficult to get as it is an Aussie Paint Company but the colour is awesome and not too far rmoved from Varnish Blue..
Would go really well with the Gold wheels too. There are other Candy Paint suppliers wwho could get you what you want but this Candy paint system is as easy as it gets.

If that top bearing dimension is correct at 26 x 48.5 x 15 then you should be able to buy them... this is what came up on Fleabay Australia.
They are based in the UK.. there were also a search as well

Do you happen to have any details on this 12v conversion and which bikes it will suit.. I am in the middle of an SL125 restoration and 12V would be nice to have.

Nice pickup on the XL250KO as well... they are rare and expensive here in Australia...

The Black wore will be the feed from the Ignition for the Voltage Regulator...Not real sure about the 2 spade terminals through.

I used my Environmentally friendly Solar Low Bake oven when I did the engine on my SL125 a few weeks ago... 45C in the shade and approaching 70C in the direct sun... for a period of approx 2 hrs.

You could always look at the Hondaman alternative.... best of both worlds as it uses the points to trigger the Electonic ignition and can be converted back to straight points in a flash... just a thought.

I ONLY use Ryobi ONE+ items... I have one battery charger and 3 batteries for Drill, Angle Grinder, 3/8" rattle gun, 1/2" Rattle gun, Jig Saw, sander, and last one (for now) 165mm Circular saw.
I also have garden tools that use the same 18v battery system.
We get 6 years warranty here on the skins at least, not sure on the battery.

So far I havent had an oz of trouble and I have given them all a pretty decent workout. Not sure how pricing stacks up between Aus and UK but I find the Ryobi gear to be excellent value for money.
