CB750 / help!- smoked 2nd set of dyna s pickups

k7 old school chopper with the elctrics all stuffed into the little chrome box under the carbs. A fresh bottom and 836 kit, new dyna S and matching coils. Had it running and rode it to sort out the jets. I left the charger on it with the ignition "on" overnight and it has never been right since. I put in a second Dyna S and while trying to start, it smoked it. If I trashed a coil with the overcharging would this burn the dyna S units?
The hot wire for the bike comes from the starter solenoid to the only fuse(20a) then through the ignition(key switch). Should the fuse be before or after the switch?

Any help would be appreciated?

Now that my triplets are 3 1/2 and my building(shop) is finally up, its time to get back on track. Once upon a time I was looking for any frame info on this beautiful bike. I want to build one for myself and as a tribute to Mr. Tamburinni. I only want to do it as precise as possible. So I need some actual frame and tube dimensions. So, if anyone out there knows where there is an actual bike they can measure for me, it would be greatly appreciated. I think the survivors are in Switzerland, Germany, Italy and maybe France. I already have the book and all that is available on the net. None of it has any true dimensions so far.

CB750 / Did I trash the dyna s???

Completely rebuilt from the ground up 1970 vintage KO chopper with fresh 836 K7. I hooked up the battery charger and left it overnight, next day I realized I left the ignition switch on the whole time. Now it only fires on 2 and 3!!! I only tried it briefly.

DAMN!!!
