I have a 78 US K which I think has the same axle as the UK K3. (in spite of the CMS site which shows incorrect picture for both axles in their parts list) The axle is 301mm long and about 295mm to the hole for the split pin. Spacer at the RHS is 31.8mm and is certainly different from the one on the F that I have that must be about 12mm longer. Swing arm is about 269mm from the outside to outside where the axle fits when not clamped up. Hope that helps.
Yes that’s exactly what I need thanks I will have a measure up and see what I’ve got.

That's not an F type arm, the F type has closed ends on the arm, yours has the removable plugs which allow the wheel to be withdrawn through the rear, needed when 4 exhausts were fitted. It could be an arm off a 500 as they look the same. Does it have a grease nipple in the middle of the swinging arm bolt tunnel, the K3 has, the 500 hasn't.

Bolt must be wrong, have you tried fitting it without the wheel in place, if it don't fit then the only answer is the bolts off maybe the F version.
Hi oddjob your right that’s a picture of the k3 swingarm I bought fitted to my bike and yes it does have a grease nipple so hopefully it is the correct swingarm

CB500/550 / 550k3 swing arm?
« on: October 08, 2017, 10:36:45 AM »
i have a cb 550 k3 which has been made up from different parts it has what i think is a swing arm from an f i am trying to make it as correct as possible, the problem i have is i have bought a swing arm which was described as a k3 when i build it up the axle bolt is too short to get the nut on far enough to fit split pin, i have got the correct spacer which appears to be the only difference i was wondering if anyone had a k3 axle bolt they could measure for me thanks

I have fitted the switch had to modify wiring on bike end of loom i think as quite a few bits on this bike its not a K3 loom, i can now switch the side lights on and off and now have a kill switch just need to get throttle push cable fitted, well worth a run out on my other bike very reasonable price nice people and Julie makes a cracking cuppa thanks again
