My understanding is that an old engine ( I’m talking old Brit ) has “bits/film” of crud stuck to it’s innards and using modern semi/full synthetic oils can loosen this crud via the additives/detergent in it.Would this apply to our SOHC fours?

Lol 😂 My last Brit bike a 750 twin vibrated somewhat more than previous twins and bits would fall off or come loose every trip.It had an aftermarket oil cooler fitted by a previous owner routed close ie touching the drive chain and yes it wore through dumping contents of oil tank on road 😂😂

Never owned a Hinckley Triumph although test rode a Thruxton and Boneville in 2004,I liked the Thruxton but bought a Suzuki SV1000😁 I have had a few “proper “ Meriden Triumphs in past and still love the look of them, the Hurricane being top of my bike wish list😎
