Hi can anyone tell me the width of rear lower eng bolt spacer, need to make one as its nowhere to be found,installed eng some time ago and hoped I would come across it, wondering if it was missing in the first place.

Hi all, just rebuilding the wife's 500 carbs after sonic clean, 4x keyster kits, in a dilemma already, needles removed are stamped 272304 and clips on no. 4 grove, no identity on the tubes, keyster needles stamped D 26 is this just keysters no. and they are the same or are they two different needles, I've fitted one with the clip on the middle groove as is usually the norm but decided to ask for comments before going further

Didnt see tensioner bolt move, or hear anything when I loosened the locknut, am I right in thinking I I can repeat the process to if I undo the locknut, then pull the bolt and retighten the nut, rebuilt the motor its been a long rebuild with many obstacles.

They don't seem to list the 500 anymore, is it cos the 550 is the same for most parts?

Hi everyone
Some of will have seen my intro in newbie section.
The motor is now fully striped and I'm looking at the 3rd gear issue, which I now to be a problem the thing is there is signs of wear but not execesive, the forks look straight
Does anyone know how long the 3rd gear dogs should be should be

Hellow sohc folks, firstly I must say that I do not directly own a sohc honda but my missus does, its a nice 500 four which she's had for many years and has been off road for many yrs, she won best jap
bike at Doncaster bike show in 1986, after years in storage and a little lack of care its time to get her back in decent running order again the( bike I mean,) so she is on the bench in bits for a re fresh
