I dont believe Honda would design it so you had tofit to lower case and get opperating mech out of way to mate cases but i suppose anything is possible, none of the other hondas i have worked on 50cc tp 1500cc have done that

Cant watch videos so here is my 2 penorth Points gap at 14 thou and timing spot on the F, it takes a lot of time, patience and practice to get BOTH spot on. Sounds like the carbs need syncing, there is arie up of mine on here somewhere Possibly tight, or loose tappet clearance.
You say you have cleaned the carbs, have you split them and had them ultrasonicaly cleaned?

I think you are missreading the plastigauge chart or the micrometer ifvit was the gap you say you would probably feel play

The other possibility if ht leads are correct is kinked fuel pipe to 1&2 or a blocked tap outlet to 1&4

Its possible the housing has a small crack due to overtightening the taper thread or it could be the cover plate leaking, nurse julie does O ring kits for the pump

Using a screwdriver usually overtightenes the camchain leading to excessive wear and possible breakage, ifthis is the only way you can doo it then something is broken/siezed and needs fixing
