If using dowty washers you might get better results using allen bolts instead of screws as the underside of the head is better

Being serious for once there should be a rubber cover on the cable just under the pull bit which if you tighten it clamps the steel rod more so it dont slide back. Dificult to describe, i think it is cone shaped underneath and clamps o 2 or 3 plastic "ears" that stick up from the main outer cable

With hravity feed from tank and engine off float needles have to be perfect to stop flow. With screws sealed you should not get more leakink and floats will seal enough for normal running as long as you remember to turn off when stopping engine. I think this was one of the reasons vac taps became more common

There is your problem as they should be thick fibre washers that you can not get genericaly. I have used 6mm "Dowty" style washers with some success. If a total seal does not happen fuel leaks down past the bolt threads and bypasses the tap flooding the float bowls

If it is leaking with the tap turned off either the tap sealing disc is duff or you did not fit the proper washers under the heads of the retaing bolts

Sounds like that might be an F2 bolt, all the other 4's are the same so if you can get one of those to measure it would confirm it.

Not unusal to find nill wear if the engine has been serviced correctly, personally stripped a 100,000 mile motor with no discernable wear. That is a conservative mileage estimate as it was originally the bosses bike and was one that had a rebuild by Skellerns of Worcester due to being one of the batch with bad oil hoses. We then knew every owner and every accident with new speedo till high mileage when it needed new chains

Oil cooler will normaly have an adaptor plate held on with a steel "nut" that the standard bolt screws into. F2 had a longer bolt with a finned adaptor plate( no cooler hoses) that was supposed to keep oil a bit cooler

OK, being picky where are the yellow paint marks to show the bolts are tight, except on rear wheel nut which has way too much!

Always select neutral before you stop, a lot of the old Hondas had that complaint when hot
