The first Laverda Jota 120 with the team that made it. L to R Brian Farmer, Richard Slater, Steve Winterton and yours truly.
Gas flowed, 3:1 exhaust, Astralite wheels, Brembo floating discs with 48mm calipers and a one piece seat and tank unit. A veritable missile in its day.

The Formula 120 was a lovely bike Steve, especially with the expensive Astralite wheels. There were not many made though I recall? There was also a Formula 1200 at some point?
When I first bought my Jota 120 back in 2000 I took it to Steve Winterton for a full service, he ended up keeping it for 9 months and I had to go down to his place in Evesham via a three hour train journey to get it back following promise after promise it was ready. When I got there it was in bits along with a few other customers bikes! It was another three months before I eventually got it back in one piece.
It was a real shame what happened as Steve was the guru to go to for engine work, I don't know if he is still trading?
I use Keith Nairn of Laverda Scotia in Glasgow now, having known Keith for over 15 years he really is Mr Laverda and a very talented engineer and knows how to get the best out of these engines. Keith bought all the specialist tooling from Phil Todd along with all his new and s/h spares stock.
Did you ever own a Laverda yourself?
