 hi all
Thought I had finished the re build but forks stuck in compressed mode,.
Never rode the bike before stripping it down but did note no oil in the left fork when I stripped them .
Anyway looks like I have found the problem, there is a small crack at the calliper arm 6mm bolt??
anyone have a half decent left hand lower for sale pleeeeeeese!!
thanks Rich

Instructions are pretty poor at the least.

Understand that Steve but Lines 16 says ' turn back plate counter clockwise until the light comes on" trouble is it is already on and you can turn as far as you like it doesn't go out .
Anyway just sorted it as previous post suggested, ignore Chinese instructions and do what you think, worked a treat, just need to balance carbs,
Happy days .
I'll put up pictured shortly Steve so you can see 'Goldie" in all her glory.
Cheers Rich

So basically you set where you think it should be and keep moving until the marks and light match up .

Finally got the 500 pretty much finished.
I bought Silvers electronic ignition as  had a lot of good reports.
The instructions are not brilliant but following as well as I can  I can't get it to do what it is supposed to do .
Am I correct the light should NOTbe on when you line up the 1/4 timing market should only come on when you rotate the back plate anti clockwise????
Mine is on and doesen't go off unless you turn the crank

Genuine Honda odd job,
I have bitten the bullit and bought a set of csml.
I have 3 very good pipes now and one usable as a last resort should anyone
want to buy a set. or I may wait and see if a good no 2 turns up and sell as a good set .

Bit of a long shot I know.
Virtually finished the rebuild and hadn't realised the no 2 exhaust is shot ,
other 3 are new replacements I think and are totally solid ..
I don't suppose anyone out there has a pretty good one for sale pleeeeese.
Repro set ,double skin header in Italy for sale, anyone had experience of these?
Thanks Richard
