it's a great excuse to get the bike out plus raise money and awareness for Prostate cancer. I took part in the Bournemouth ride last year and it was a great day out. Thought I'd just share the link with all on here.

Cheers Odd job!
That's great will see if they post to UK  :)

one more part if anyone can help with, the back wheel has a D ring I think it's a flat sided oring. this appears to be very worn and could do with replacing . it is also an unavailable part from Honda.
cheers

CB500/550 / Rear sprocket flange carrier worn?
« on: August 11, 2015, 01:38:50 PM »
Hi folks,
Been loving getting out in the sun on my CB550  :D
Noticed the rear sprocket was making a clunking sound occasionally and it looked as though there was a problem with the carrier. Close inspection (after dismantling) has shown that the sprocket carrier (flange) or where it fits onto the other part of the hub is worn as a previous owner has added a thin steel collar or sleeve which has broken up and is causing the clunking problem due to it being able to move slightly.
Would anyone know if wear on these parts this is a common problem ?
Is there a fix  or should i be looking for a new hub?
Any help would be appreciated.

if its a replacement i need ....anybody got one or can point me in the right direction?
oh and one more thing...
This..

cheers for all the info guys  :)
it doesn't look out of place on the bike and I'm yet to try it out at night as still a few things to do to the bike, fit indicators, replace top cover gasket to stop a small oil  leak and to sort out the front brake / lack of it. It will also be getting  the tank repainted, same colour and graphics.

maybe it is a 400 unit although it doesn't attach with 3 screws , it was on the bike fitted by the previous owner ? He was attempting to cafe race it after all and it did have some other 400 bits with it in a box. however I think it looks cool, I've gone for the larger indicators off the earlier k models as I like the way they look ;)

Bars, rail, fork ears and mirrors fitted......indicators next...
have purchased cb500 mounts for the indicator stems and they don't fit ( the metal and rubber parts that fit in the grab rail ) anybody have any that will fit or need the  cb500 ones or want to swap. thought I'd ask before I try and make them fit ???
