I'm using an electrex unit as well on my 550, and am also running a motobatt AGM battery.

It seems like the lithium battery is not a great idea so il have to rethink where to mount the battery.  Can I ask what model of motobatt you fitted?

Thanks
Mike
I used MBT9B4.  It's a smaller battery but I typically kickstart the bike and have converted all lights to LED.  That said, I've had no issues.

Misc / Open / Re: Replacement Battery

Whats the recommendations for replacement batteries....... Lets assume that money is not the deciding factor, and were after performance and longevity......... The battery will be in a cold garage over winter, on the bike with an optimiser permanently fitted. The optimiser is rated for all types of battery......... Should I go for Lead Acid, Glass Mat, Gel, or Lithium?
Glass mat.  Motobatt.  Not that I have much experience,  but this hasn't let me down.

I've got controls from an R1 so my switch is on the lever.... you could run it to the stop switch and then up from there, would just need an additional 2 banjos.

I went with Venhill brake lines and fittings (20 deg. banjos) run directly from the caliper to the MC.  You just need to make sure that the position of the fittings doesn't torque the caliper at an angle, but it's not difficult to set up.  I ordered direct from their website.

Hi Mr. T. I'd be grateful if you could check the space please and send me the link to the e-bay page so I could look at the cost.
I'm currently away from the bike until Friday but will have a look when I can.

I used this kit that I got from eBay,  and I'm happy with it.  I did, however, replace the standard headlight bucket with a Lucas one at the same time, so not sure if the fan would fit in the standard setup.  I could check if you're interested.

How have you found the motogadget has performed now that you have had it for a while, I have just bought an m unit, m button, push buttons and new loom?

I looking at positioning the unit next to all the original kit in my new battery box before sending the frame to powder coat
It's worked without any issues whatsoever.  Good piece of kit.

Are they the ones from the top of the head to locate the cam cover?

Love it, love the headers and detailing. I'm curious about the clocks what is it ? Speedo ? Please bung a photo of it on the site.

Rob
The clock is a dual tach and speedo from speedhut.com. The speedo is via gps and the tach connects to one of the wires to the coils.  I like it.
