Same experience for me with Bexley - Brian was the guy who built all the wheel spacers for TV's Chop Shop car programme so I though the'd be good to build some rollers for me. He just stopped replying after a few calls/ queries so I eventually got a first class job done by Rob Mitchell in Leek who also advertises in Old Bike Mart next to Bexkey Engineering usually.

For powdercoat and blasting I've used redditch shotblasting for years now. They are fantastic in all of my dealing with them....

I've had a good look for a UK VTR Firestorm forum (or SP1/2 for that matter) and I can't find one. Surely there is such a thing - anyone here know of it or is a member that can point me in the right direction please?

I got new stianless pins for my K0 calipers from Phil Denton - way better quality machining than stock Honda parts and not silly money either. Check him out on www.phildentonengineering.com he does all sorts of excellent replacement bits like engine bolts, spindles etc etc and the finish has to be seen to be believed...

Yeah - most of the CR750 building seems to be going on in the USA these days. It's good becasue it creates parts like these exhausts and other stuff but a pain for shipping if you're selling on. Where's all the Brit CR750s eh?  ;D

CB750 / CR750 exhausts - works replica
« on: January 26, 2010, 08:03:21 PM »
I have a final two sets of CR750 works replica exhausts due in about 3-4 weeks time. They will go straight out for sale so if anyone is interested up front, you can contact me using the PM system here. The exhausts are patterned directly off a genuine set of works CR750 4 into 4 exhausts and are the best non-genuine replicas I've ever seen. Well the proof is in the pudding as I used them on my own CR750 which you can see below.

The exhausts are straight through megas with the correct rolled megaphone lip. They come as a set of headers and a set of megas so you can choose whether to make a bolt up collar to join the two or to weld them up as one end to end pipe like I did. They will also require a simple bracket making each side to attach them to your frame. Mine hook into the footrests with a small piece of steel plate.

The exhausts are available for

Yes - there's *just* enough room to go to an 18 tooth sprocket as long as you have a standard non-HD or O/X-ring chain. It's still tight though so you have to keep on top of chain maintenance and tension. Personally I'd go for a change to the back sprocket on the basis of safety...

Not sure abut TTS but as this is going to be a race bike (RC162 replica) I want a race job doing. Mind you - looks like Les at the Cylinder Head shop might still be open for business which is tremendous news. He did the work on my CR750 head and it's a true wor of art...cheers guys, will let you know how it goes.

So, I've got a nice engine on its way - an MC19 with perfect cam setup. With The Cylinder Head Shop going out of business, I now need to find a decent cylinder head reworking company for porting, valve seats, etc etc.

Anyone recommend someone who isn't Stan Stephens?  :D

Anyone remember Martin Bangemann in the European Idiothouse trying to do this in the 90s? There was tons of research done by MAG and BMF to prove that limiting the power was the wrong answer on many levels. What happened to this in the end? Does anyone know if MAG or BMF got involved?

I want to get a CBR250RR engine plus Radiator and ignition - anyone know of one for sale somewhere, preferably crash damaged parted out bike but will potentially buy the whole bike if necessary?

Peter, you can get a CR750 seat made in aluminium at either The Tank Shop in Scotland or by Peter Kyte in Notts - but you;ll have to wait about a year for Peter...good luck!  ;D

No - still no attachment option available to me. I'll start a new thread on sohc4.net and post them there...
