Title: to grab rail or not?
Post by: waffey on October 28, 2020, 04:10:42 PM
Hi,

after a collection of expensive chroming and the lack of rear indicator brackets i am toying with using the grab rail that came with the bike. Chroming it will be expensive so I was thinking of spray painting or powder coating. At least this has the brackets for the indicators already or do I sell my Jack Russell to pay for a pair from DSS? :-\

Nooooo, don't sell the Jack 😕😕😕😕I would give all my bikes away for nothing before I sell any of my dogs 😊😊😊. A dog is for life, a bike just gets you from A to B and back again.

If you don't want to use the grab rail, you could just fit non standard indicator stems but with the correct lenses etc.

Please keep the Jack Russel...just like Julie said he is priceless. I'd start by saying I think you are discussing one of the least of your problems though, the bike has an utter mountain of work and I hope you manage to save it. Why not put this on hold, a pair of brackets may yet show up.

I have this type fitted. I have just managed to source a used set of the original 400/4 rear brackets, with all the rubbers etc which I will be fitting once I have had them powder coated.

No idea George, Graham washes all my bikes 😊😊😊 He only ever uses Fairy Liquid and hot water though.
