K2-K6 thanks, this one looks good value. Now for a silly question that I’m sure everyone else will think has an obvious answer. How would I secure the light to the headlight rim ? mine (US import ) has various fittings to hold the light in which aren’t on any of the lights that I’ve seen for sale. 4

Afternoon all. My dipped beam has gone on my USA import 400/4. I have taken the headlight apart and realised it’s a sealed beam headlight so can’t just replace the bulb. Have rung Silvers and asked about their replacement light unit but they say it won’t fit my USA headlight rim as the fittings are different. Silvers do a rim as well but I think it’s about £95. Wondering if anybody has any suggestions?

Thanks for the advice on fixing the chip.Afternoon all. I have managed to chip the paint of my newly painted petrol tank, it’s only a small chip and right near the front so don’t know it’s there without looking. Is there anything that you guys could recommend me to use to touch it up with? Thanks. You sound just like me, if you didn't get it painted you wouldn't have chipped it. What I did to cure a pin head sized chip was to get a can of he right colour and one of lacquer first. I then masked off the area around the chip. I sprayed some of the paint into the cans own ld and applied in a few goes with an artists brush. Ditto the laquer, it takes close inspection to spot now. 6

Thanks James. Hadn’t thought of a reaction to the paint. I will send Menno an email and ask him.

They were pretty busy but repaired it for me while I waited, all done and dusted in about 15 minutes. So great service.

Thanks for the offer Andrew. I managed ok by using my step ladder suggested on another thread and support under the sump. Had puncture repaired by GS tyres in Wokingham recommended by Steve D. Wheel back on with the assistance of Mrs Bradders. This Forum is great for the mine of useful information I get.

Thanks Lobo that’s very useful. I think Haynes says about doing the front nuts up first but not about which way the clamps go, so thanks.

Thanks Julie. I’ve also been looking at the thread on here about supporting the bike with the wheel off. Thanks again.

Evening all. Seem to have a puncture in my front tyre so need to remove the front wheel. Is it easy to remove the front wheel ? Any thing I should be careful about? The Haynes makes it sound easy. TIA.

Thanks for your advice oddjob. I did look at Ash’s coil repair but it seemed a bit daunting to me. (I’m not the best mechanic in the world.)
