I've just taken one of them off my Tiger. It cost me £78 last September.
Do you think I could get my money back?
Or maybe I should just start it at 99p and let the bidding wars begin.

Paul, i do not buy then, i sell them. They are part of the bike.
Steve, i would put yours away for a few years as the price will only go up. That is unless the members on this forum flood the market ;)

go to the foot of my stairs?!--I've just fell down em--lordy lorks !

Neil, Think of how many people are out washing his/her car today and throwing the tax disc in the bin, not knowing what they could be worth.
-
But if you have a disc on that runs out next year you have to leave it on, its only the ones that started after October that are electronic
-
Are you sure Bryan?
I have a load of papers that i printed off from Driver & vehicle Licensing Agency and can not find this info. Looked up the law on tax discs and the law still stands that you must display a tax disc. So, they have not got rid of the old law yet.
Found this wording> If you have any remaining months left on your current paper tax disc, you can either remove the tax disc from your vehicle or display the disc until it expires
From 1 October 2014, the paper tax disc will no longer need to be displayed on a vehicle. If you have a tax disc with any months left to run after this date, then it can be removed from the vehicle and destroyed. This includes customers with a Northern Ireland address, however they will still need to display their MoT disc.
-
I have one of the very last disks its not even printed on perforated paper
It states on the letter that the disk does not have to be displayed after 1st October

Ash, you look a bit too young to be riding bikes. Your feet do not even reach the pegs ;)
-
How did you ride it with such diddly legs
I couldn't work out why you posted a pick of a Z for a second I thought it was a post about Tax disks.

That little bugger on the front is nearly 30 now and only just flying the nest next week.. he has no interest in bikes whatsoever, neither do my daughters or their boyfriends ! When I bought that bike he hid the keys in a bush and I could not ride it for a week and eventually hot wired it, a day after I hot wired it, I saw something shining in the sun hanging from a bush! Then he filled the Motad silencer with pebbles !!!
Cheers ... Ash

Brilliant you just reminded me of when I was younger.Me and my sister painted my dads car and bike in bitumen.
I would just like to add I'm 30 and still at home

Reality check.
When your forum mates are the same age as your kids...
[My son is 27 and in RAF, daughter 25 and in the Met]

There's a thought Steve. What age is the youngest member? Who is the oldest?
-
I couldn't possibly say...
Date of Birth is an optional field. It's there as the forum will list your birthday on the calendar and email you congratulations on the day. I've turned those features off.
For those who have entered a DoB:
The youngest member offers 1/8/91 making him/her 23 years old.
The oldest admits to 6/12/12 which makes him/her 102 years old (maybe a typo there)
The next oldest was born on 5/1/34 (80 years old)
I'm not naming names but will let the members here offer their thoughts.
We've had tax discs and now members' age - how about Z650s?
Steve

Anything is possible! There was a programme on tv recently about 100+ year old drivers, and one of them had a very clean 250 Superdream which he was filmed riding:))
