All this talk recently about dyno' so I thought it was time I put my hadleigh custom bike on one.
My mate at lrs mech has got his all sorted now so I popped down this after noon....
It is very rich and has a real power fade between 5-7000 rpm as you can see from the graph..but runs very well indeed before and after... although still no tick over...in fact after 6500rpm it takes of like a stabbed rat..if we can iron out that fade it will be a very impressive bike for a 500/4.
Anyway
Best hp was 38.6
Top speed although it still had a tad more 121.1mph..
We did take a video and if I can get it sent to me I will post a link.....it sounded fantastic..almost frightening at times...
We only played for 20 mins as he had a bbq to sort out...maybe pop back another time

Finally dug out all my spares today...and the frame and engine of a 500 I've had for some time....
Hopefully in amongst all this I Have enough to to put it all back together....
Except for the pipes....

I know this comes up quite a bit.but I just want to know what other people have found as I have heard differing scenarios.
I have a little z50a to register it's a uk bike..and I need a dating cert..
I've used vjmc before successfully but I have heard recently that dvla have refused them. .
So do I go with honda uk straight away even though I've heard they can be quite unhelpful and slow at times..

I was wondering if anyone could help with this little teaser...
I dug out my little Honda xr75 at the weekend for the kids to play on...of course it wouldn't start ...
Anyway new plug and a carb clean it's like a watch again...
It has a later carb on it but I do have the original earlier set up...although on closer inspection after a good clean the inlet manifold rubber on the carb mount has a split....now these things are rare and of course expensive if you can find one...
Does anyone know if I can repair it.....bodge it...
Baring in mind it's just a toy...albeit a very nice one...
I have used at work a heat shrink with a self amalgamating inner that melts and turns to goo when heated...I wondered if I could get a bit large enough if it would do.....its tiny..
I've bought bike that have been held together with tape and have been for years..
Any thoughts or do I just keep hunting for the correct part along with the list of other unobtainium bits I'm after...and keep running as is...

But can you follow a thread without actually posting on it...I usually follow a thread in the attachment and other option link when I have commented. ..
But some threads (normally the technical ones ?) I want to follow but have no real input of any worth...but like i say I want to keep up with?

Ok..my mate picked up a early 1992 fireblade. ..and quite simply I fancy one
The thing is I want a low mileage 1992 that's as standard as possible and preferably in the red white and blue.
Just wondering if anyone knows of any kicking around?.
I'm not after robbing one from anyone and am happy to pay the higher end as long as it is the right bike...
just a thought as I know you guys know guys who know guys etc

I was in Great Yarmouth today visiting my grandad ....at about 2pm out of the corner of my eye I passed a 500/550 I think it looked pretty clean ..in gold or could've been orange ...just wondering if it was anyone on here taking advantage of the sunny day up there.......not been up there for ages.....I forgot how flat it was..
