Ok kind of linking 2 threads here... I have a 500 ko I have the v5 date of first reg 15/03/72... Last change of keeper 19/09/76
That keeper (2nd) was/is a respected chap who dates bikes for vjmc...( I won't name names as it's not my place
The story is the original keeper obviously brought it new...and for some reason took it apart early on in its life? This is backed up only by the speedo showing just north of 10000 miles 2nd keeper bought it in bits and had v5 put in his name so I belive all v5 details are correct...I did contact the chap by post as I had his address from 76 and luckily he still lives there and he confirmed all of this via email.
Now what I'm getting at is that the colour is shown as black...this is confirmed by original looking tank paint and a side panel with Honda sticker (see pic) plus a v5 that is only 4 years old...
So were all k0's green / brown or gold and where does this bike fit in...it's allready ananomaly so could it be just another Honda quirk
I hope that makes sense

Happy Christmas and New Years guys and gals.... This year should be a good one for me road tax wise....here's why and a few views appreciated A slow day here which is nice... after all this talk about historic vehicle taxation I thought I would see what was what as I have a few 1975 bikes... Well here goes
St 70 14/03/73 ...not had this on road but seems it's over due a re classification?
Xr75 just says declared manufactured 1975 so will this mean I can free tax it or should I wait a year to definately slip in....I suppose it depends on who looks at it at the dvla
500/4 k2 28/05/75..this year or next year?
400f 16/09/75..this year or next year?
Hadleigh custom 500/4. 01/01/1975... I'm pretty sure that will be this year
Last one to do is a uk k0 it's in boxes but v5 is here in my name...so no mot or insurance....just v5...can I still apply to have it re classified or do you do this when applying for tax? 15/03/72
Hope fully these will all be simple and I'm going to try the post office over the counter and see if they will do the legwork for me ..as mentioned in another post...
Thanks agin in advance

Side panel Lower mounting grommet Five frigging quid from Ds......plus postage I buy boxes of 100 grommets for less than that for work......allbeit they would be absolutely useless for this application? Is this what I have to pay or does anyone know of another option...I know a tenner won't break the bank but seriously sometimes it stings abit

Right No luck on desperately seeking a horn...."now now nothing mucky here!" So thought I'd pop the little fecker to bits ....nope? Does any one know how the plastic cover is supposed to be removed it looks like it should spin off but it's on pretty firm....and I do t want to wreck it at first instant ....sounds lame but it would be nice to know as I'm sure it can be sorted somehow Thanks in advance
Also to broaden the search were these fitted to any other model....surely they must have

Finally got an mot on my 400 Carbs all rebuilt using genuine parts and it runs like a sewing machine....like a 10k miles Honda should No noises no smoke It seems the story that it was parked up in the late 80's were true...the guy couldn't afford car and bike insurance when it went through the roof. Very happy with this one

Picked this up the earlier this week To be honest I was going to use it as a parts bike? For another k0 project that I may take on. I just can't do it. Other than the fact it turned up with 6months mot it runs like a dream albeit abit smokey on no1 Pipes are very good . wheels have been painted but im assured chrome is good. It was the guys daily runner for 3years and he done it so chrome didn't perish. Think I will insure and tax then run it around for abit
