Maybe his favourite television programme was "You've been framed" ;D
-
That is not Honda font and if you powder a frame you should tape the numbers so, they don't get covered ;)
-
He has amended the description, evidently the bike was involved in a crash and a new frame was stamped by the dealer .
-
Seem to remember someone told me years ago that if a Honda frame was replaced, then it got stamped on the opposite side of the headstock? Ex Honda mechanics on here would know the etiquette

Shite, I wish I hadn't sold you that frame, could of stamped it up with the same number and had twins ;D ;D ;D
-
Ha, I'm going to stamp it with a brough superior number and retire! 😀
-
Never thought of that :'( any chance I could buy it back at half the price ;D ;D
-
Sorry trigger, I regard it as an investment now .

Presumably the V5 has a frame number on it which would have been the 'original' number.
Are you going to stamp the frame then Ash, given that a legible Vehicle Identification Number (on a plate or stamped on the frame) is an MOT requirement.

Do you think MOT's will still be needed when Ash gets round to finishing it then? My 350 Norton has been with me, unfinished for 30 years in 3 different sheds 😔😔😔🙈

I guess that may partly depend on whether the MOT requirement is ever made 'rolling', as the Historic Vehicle class is.
At the moment I believe it is pre 1960 vehicles only, don't know of any plans to change this.
Ash seems to get things done, this can be another for his museum :)
