The system on the sohc is very simple,
David Silver does a complete replacement master cylinder for less than £40 I seem to remember,
The caliper will possibly need a new seal, also check, and if corroded replace the caliper piston,
Also check the hoses for cracks and splits,
That covers the hydraulic section,
The only other thing is make sure the alloy arm that the caliper mounts on ,the swivel is free for it to move,

Hopefully I can get the Honda out for a ride before the end of the good weather, I go in for the first operation to get a new thumb joint in May (left hand) with the right hand following after that. At the moment I can only make about a mile before the pain in my right hand stops me dead.
Cheers
Dennis
Best wishes Dennis, I must have a word with my quack, Both the joints at the base of my thumbs hurt when braking and, hanging on,, Ta for the info Sent from my SM-A546E using Tapatalk

Finally warm,dry roads
Yesterday a warm up on the 200
Today 70miles on the 500,
Hands, forearms and shoulders aching
I do feel rusty,
Hopefully spring is on its way

I would guess the springs would be very hard,
The 750 is at least 75kg heavier than your twin,
It could be like having a solid rear end,

If you buy new, the spring rates should be for the bike,
The SH shocks could be to hard, or to soft,
Also, jacking the back up by nearly an inch should make it less likely to scrape on corners
Will your mate let you try them?
Might be the way forward

The flutter, is it front brake? Or rear?
If it is rear, remove wheel, and tyre,
After finding an engineer that can spin the whole thing in a lathe,
And get them to just remove enough to take care of the oval,

Not really,
2 6ft straight edges would
The idea is you put it around the front wheel,,about 8in from the ground, then pull equally both sides to the rear wheel,
As the rear tyre is wider, the string should just touch the leading edge of the tyre,
Next you check the gap at the front tyre,
It's fairly easy to see if both sides are equal. If not, adjust the rear wheel as necessary

Align the rear wheel with string and the front wheel
That's the best way

Ram air was mainly a gimmick,
But it could help cool the head, But unlike 4 strokes, it has no valves, guides etc, that need cooling,
Check out air cooled multi row aircraft radial engines with ducting

That looks fun,
A few of us attended the one in 2019,I think
Easy to get to, head east on the A14,turn off at Stowmarket,
I went on the Friday, we were treated to a subsidised evening meal, I sat next to Neil Tuxworth, oh the stories about Honda,
Found a lovely B&B, also Aldeburgh near by,
After the Saturday show, I got together with a few others,
A very nice Indian restaurant was found,
Sunday, after breakfast, set off home, why did it always rain around Cambridge!!
