So one colour may have a higher or lower risk profile than another.
It's one of those odd things that statistics may throw up from raw data, but have no bearing on driver attitude.

A friend asked his insurance company about modifying his car with different carb and exhaust, they sent him an invoice for additional cost to continue policy, he informed them that he wasn't going to proceed with mods, they then requested a vehicle engineer's report to confirm the standard status of the vehicle at his cost, without which they'd cancel the policy :)

I was working in photographic industry as digital cameras got going into consumers, we reliably had complaints from people with those blue Subaru, which all came out slightly purple from most of the early cameras. It was related to how much infra red light the paint reflects but not visible to our eyes. The camera chip was supposed to be screened for IR but clearly not sufficient to exclude it so it then forms part of the ongoing image.
Wedding photos are like that too with synthetic coloured fabrics on bridesmaids coming out odd in final print. Along with bright underwear visible through white fabrics when flash (has alot of IR content) pings them and they record what's being worn. A right pain to try and explain. Conversation starting with "so, you were wearing synthetic underwear" don't usually make for the best in customer service. :)
