The old fashioned method was the big flat tin of grease you heated on stove,
But several sprays, I use Silkoline,or Bulldog BDX,
the later is also great as a freeing agents for stuck nuts and bolts,
It freed all my engine studs ,so I could get the motor out,
Applying, take the bike for a run, Get it warm,
When you get home,
Put on centre stand, in 1st gear so the wheel turns slowly, spray onto chain and sprockets were they meet at the bottom run,
Careful of the over spray

I have a local source for most O rings
A company called Hayley Group
On a local industrial estate, the Hereford branch are really helpful,
Imperial, metric,fuel resistant etc,
And the bonus, normally a fraction of the cost of NOS,
Take a sample, and the item, like tappet cap ,they will find the size needed

I can't
But most do not contain the rubber pucks,
Also the valve stem seals can be a bit iffy
Might be worth buying those separately

Shouldn’t be a problem John booking now for next year. Having said that there is the island games held here next year 12 - 18th July not sure if that would be a problem for you.
I am feeling inclined to go middle of June, Guessing a about an 18day jaunt, Mind, I might have to cut it short if I run out of Avon spray Sent from my SM-A546E using Tapatalk

Thanks for all your help,
Really helpful,
Thinking may/June time
Going to try and plan a route,
How easy is it to get B&B on the islands?
Or the mainland as well?

Using the 8-L would make them even more prone to fouling at tickover and low load,
Must be for high load ,like racing
