Humour / "WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?"

 "WHAT HAPPENED TO ME?"

I used to think I was just a regular person, but I was born white, which now, whether I like it or not, makes me a racist.

I am a fiscal and moral conservative, which by today's standards, makes me a fascist.

I am heterosexual, which now makes me a homophobe.

I am mostly non-union, which makes me a traitor to the working class and an ally of big business.

I was christened by my parents (who were married, in a church and remained married until they died), which now labels me as an infidel.

I am older than 60 and retired, which makes me useless.

I think and I reason, therefore I doubt much that the main stream media tells me, which must make me a reactionary.

I am proud of my heritage which makes me a xenophobe.

I value my safety and that of my family and I appreciate the police and the legal system, which makes me a right-wing extremist.

I believe in hard work, fair play, and fair compensation according to each individual's merits, which today makes me an anti-socialist.

I (and most of the people I know), acquired a fair education without student loan debts and little or no debt at graduation, which makes me some kind of odd underachiever.

I believe in the defence and protection of the homeland for and by all citizens and I honour those who served in the Armed Forces, which now makes me a right wing-militant.

Please help me come to terms with the new me… because I'm just not sure who the hell I am anymore!

I would like to thank all my friends for sticking with me through these seemingly abrupt, new found changes in my life and my thinking. I just can't imagine or understand what's happened to me so quickly!

Funny …it’s all just taken place over the last 7 or 8 years!

As if all this nonsense wasn’t enough to deal with ... and now

Misc / Open / Mileage
« on: October 25, 2017, 04:02:37 PM »
As I have just insured the 750f it means I have now owned it 2years and in that time I have done 7000mls on it plus another 2000mls on the CD175. Which got me wondering how many miles a year others do on their old knackers. [meaning the old bikes]  :)
Someone did say to me last weekend it was time I started treating the old girl with a bit more respect. Bikes were always made to be ridden hard and thrashed its the reason for their existence.

Misc / Open / Insurance
« on: October 24, 2017, 10:57:22 AM »
Yesterday my much nicer half went on the ring round seeking agreed valuation on my 750f which was imported into this country in 1996. One company told her they only insured if they were  UK spec. She can't remember which one unfortunately, but we have never come across this before.
 Anyone else.?
I wonder if it would have been acceptable or not if I had converted to the same as UK spec. Not that I want to. The only part I would like that is UK spec would be the light switch.

Other Bikes / Stripped plug thread
« on: July 24, 2017, 06:06:27 PM »
Last Thursday night I went over to Squires in Sherburn in Elmet [old bike night] on my CD175 for a change and thrashed the nuts of it there and back. About 1ml from home it blew the left plug out of the head completely stripping the thread out of the head. I ordered VORLUX SPARK PLUG THREAD REPAIR KIT M12 X 1.25 B5838  of Ebay £6.90 it arrived this morning and I decided to do the repair without stripping the engine.
I removed the exhaust and turned the engine until the exhaust valve was open. I put a air line into the exhaust and did the job with air constantly blowing out past the well greased tap. Every piece of swarf was immediately blown out. Anyone else using this method make sure you wear goggles or glasses. From start to finish and having the engine running again just over 1/2 hour. I wouldn't hesitate to use this method again.

Stuffed till I get hold of one.  :'(

« on: March 20, 2017, 06:14:48 PM »
As its getting harder to find rear master seal kits for the 750f1 the 2 piston seals are the same as the ones in the front master cylinder. Both cylinders measure 14mm and both pistons 13.8mm.

CB750 / 750f REAR MASTER CYLINDER
« on: March 19, 2017, 07:51:15 PM »
Help needed, I can't find a rear master cylinder seal kit for a USA 1976 CB750f I assume all F1s the same. DSS and CMS no stock. Its just starting to show wet. If it gets to the dripping stage will brake fluid do any damage to the silencer. I know it does paintwork no favours.
Cheers Chris

Humour / What to wish for
« on: January 06, 2016, 08:36:02 PM »
A Woman was out golfing one day when she hit the ball into the woods.
She went into the woods to look for it and found a frog in a trap.
The frog said to her, 'If you release me from this trap, I will grant you three wishes.'
The woman freed the frog, and the frog said, 'Thank you, but I failed to
mention that there was a condition to your wishes.
Whatever you wish for, your husband will get times ten!'
 The woman said, 'That's okay.'
For her first wish, she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the world.
The frog warned her, 'You do realize that this wish will also make your husband the most handsome man in the world, an Adonis whom women will flock to'.
The woman replied, 'That's okay, because I will be the most beautiful Woman and he will have eyes only for me.'
So, KAZAM-she's the most beautiful Woman in the world!
For her second wish, she wanted to be the richest woman in the world.
The frog said, 'That will make your husband the richest man in the world. And he will be ten times richer than you.'
The woman said, 'That's okay, because what's mine is his and what's his is mine.'
So, KAZAM-she's the richest woman in the world!
The frog then inquired about her third wish, and she answered, 'I'd like a mild heart attack.'
Moral of the story: Women are clever. Don't mess with them.
Attention female readers : This is the end of the joke for you. Stop here and continue feeling good.

Moral of the story : Women are really dumb but think they're really
 smart.
Let them continue to think that way and just enjoy the show.

« on: December 12, 2015, 08:51:32 PM »
I have just been looking on the USA site and reading about the 750 weldless frame kit and was wondering if anyone fairly local to me had one fitted that I could possibly look at. I am in Dewsbury, West Yorks.
Cheers Chris.

CB750 / One step forward
« on: December 06, 2015, 06:26:00 PM »
As posted a few weeks ago I recently acquired a 76 cb750f supersport. I have just fit new coils. caps, plugs, points, condensers, stripped the carbs and ultrasonic cleaned. Rebuilt and run on a fuel bottle, now seems to run sweet just needs a chance to get it on the road to test. So today I thought I would clean out the tank as there was a bit of crap and rust in it. Put a few nuts and bolts in it and gave it a good shake. Drained it and flushed it out with clean fuel. Put it back on the bike and filled with fuel only to find out it now has a pin prick hole in it. So the tank is back off and drained the hole cleaned up and I will solder it up  sometime shortly.
Question   When it is soldered  should I use something like POR15 tank sealer or wait and see if anymore holes develop.

Cheers Chris.

New Member Introductions / Hi All Not So New Newbie
« on: November 22, 2015, 06:46:02 PM »
Hi just got a few weeks ago a 1976 USA CB750F Supersport. Pretty much in original condition it came to these shores in 97. It had a oil leak on the neutral switch, oil leak on the tacho drive, leaking front brake master cylinder, and a bad misfire at 60mph+. All leaks now sorted and misfire down to coils and leads I think. I had a CB750f1 in 1977 first time around that I did over100,000mls on so do know them pretty well. Now revisiting my youth. Also in the garage 1973 CD175 K4, 1973 PC50 [still to restore]. 05 Blackbird. This and its cousin looks like a excellent source of information and entertainment.
Cheers Chris. :)
