Hi all,
I appear to be missing this part from my build. which could explain a slightly snatchy back wheel before the rebuild. I bought some of the brass replacements from germany but realised this part was missing!
I'm going round all the usual places to find a replacement of this part, however - if anyone has this item, could they be kind enough to post a few pictures and dimensions so that I may fabricate this part if I cannot source it?
Thanks, Ryan.

I had it done by a family member who sprays cars normally - I know several panel sprayers and all of them seem to love to get their hands on motorcycle stuff? interesting/beautiful to finish job apparently - I'm in fareham Ok well thanks for the heads up, I'll rub the sealing face back in that case. Any tips on what to seal the paint edge with?

Hi all,
I've had my tank and side panels painted and thought I'd share the result. (see attachments for before/after photos - these are before flattening and polishing)
The colour I went with is Honda R81 Milano Red (Light Shade as the normal shade looked a little dark to me sampled)
Thanks, Ryan.

Hey, thanks for the responses. I did think about the epoxy route but I didn't know if it would be any good there?
Regards to the bolt being too long - that was my first thought. so I checked the parts list for the correct size bolt (8x60) and the bolt is definitely that.
After a little investigation I found there to be some sort of old clear silicon type stuff at the very bottom, about the size of a pencil rubber perhaps, my guess - old crank case sealant previously applied enthusiastically. Anyway this appears to have built up enough pressure to blow out the side.
Really annoyed at myself for this. Considering I took the time to wash every blind bolt hole out with solvent and a high pressure airline with a long small nozzle it obviously wasn't enough. I even put the bolts in by hand first and I don't remember feeling anything too out of the ordinary. In hindsight I should have put a bit of wire in there too. I've spent what I consider to be a lot of money on this bike so far given the high price I paid (Unwittingly) to begin with.
hopefully if anyone is currently doing a rebuild as a novice, hopefully they'll see this and be extra vigilant in their build. I'm lucky this wasn't on a more critical part.
Thanks, Ryan.

Hello all, So I've just managed to knock the price down on my own 400f. See pic. I tightened this bolt to 4ft-lbs, Perhaps too much? and that piece pinged off somewhere in the room. are there any recommendations to tart this up? Is this a big deal even? I would weld it and smooth it over but it depends on the alloy and the casting as to how well that would turn out and I don't feel like trial and error. Maybe someone else has tried? Thanks, Ryan. P.S. the hair line under the bolt is just a hair.

Hello all, Posting to help out a friend with low oil pressure woes. http://kz400.createforumhosting.com/rebuilt-z250a-low-oil-pressure-t20814.htmlSo I tested the gauge for him and it was for all intents and purposes accurate. Does anyone have any experience with this bike? Perhaps any ideas on what to try next? Currently looking down the avenue of some larger displacement engine oil pump if the dimensions are right. Thanks in advance, Ryan.

I tried 20W50 halfords classic but I personally got lots of clutch slip with it. So I switched to Halfords 15W40 Mineral Oil (Blue bottle) and it seems good to me

Hey Oddjob,
Just flicking through the manual again and I was hoping you could shed a little light on the extract highlighted from the manual attached below? Little confused by that.
Thanks, Ryan.
