We recently started going through our last keeper bike. It's a 1980 Suzuki GS 1100E with 17k miles on it. It's pretty crusty so we're cleaning it up as best we can. We go through everything mechanical and clean up all of the wiring connections to make it ride like new. The carbs and exhaust system was unusable so we got a stainless Delkavic 4 into 1 exhaust system and a new set of Mikuni RS 36 flat slide carbs with accelerator pump. It's going to be a hotrod. 8)

You are supposed to pull out the pin so Dyna's piece seats all the way down.

I installed a needle bearing kit in my 74' CB550K swingarm and the motion is silky smooth. Along with a set of Hagon shocks it works great.

I don't have a say in what goes on in your country but it would be a big deal here if the government tried to outlaw pattern parts. We have a huge aftermarket parts industry in the US. Not so long ago VW got caught for scamming the diesel emissions testing. The vehicles burned really clean when hooked up to the emission testers. When unplugged the computer ran a different fuel map to make better power and put it put out much more emissions. VW had to buy back the vehicles unless the owner wanted to keep it. You can't trust the manufacturers or the government to do the right thing.
Greed is rampant in the world these days. There are so many that want more than their share.

I thought the 350, March was best, far too 750 orientated IMO. January only won because it was a K0 IMO. Although it was a nice job I've seen better.

That site is definitely 750 oriented although my 74' 550 got nominated for bike of the month it got beat by a really high dollar build 750. I painted my entire bike with rattle cans. 8)

In the words of the song, "It's not a bicycle made for 2" is it? Like the seat though, looks comfy.

Thanks, I built the seat from a stock seat pan. The hinge and lock still work.

I’ve kept alive all these years by assuming that no one has seen me.

Yep, ride like you're invisible. 8)

Have two sets of JIS screwdrivers, my favourite set is the Vessel Impacta set. They are quality JIS screwdrivers that are also impact drivers. They have saved my butt many times, awesome for removing stuck engine cover screws.

We rode to Missoula Montana on US-12 for dinner twice this year. It's a six day round trip. We rode the North Cascades Hwy four times. They are four day trips. Next year we are hoping to ride to Tennessee and points south. I do all of my long distance riding on my 94' Kawasaki ZG1000.

I've done one DSS tapered roller bearing conversion on a 75 CB400F and I got it to work but the All Balls kit works great. I've done several of them and just finished installing an All Balls kit on a 70' CB450 DOHC with no issues. 8)

I built my 74' CB550 K0 without cutting anything off because it is a very early 550. Otherwise I might of gone further. I managed to achieve my goal of making it look like it was built in the 70's.
Build your bike the way you see it in your head. I tried to make sure that any modifications wouldn't detract from the handling and ridability of a great handling bike.
