Title: Out and about.

Walking round Verona stumbled upon these 2 examples. The 500 appeared to be a completely original example with just 11k kilometres on the clock.

500 I'd say is most likely a restoration. People always seem to apply to much yellow paint to the bolts to make it look like it's not been touched. Honda generally didn't apply that much.

It had a lovely patina. All the right amounts of faded plastic, unmarked bolts and screws, tarnished laquer, dulled tank strip……

Most likely the owner thought to make it look more original and just painted some of the parts which Honda used to paint. He's gone a bit overboard though, they didn't paint the whole nut, just enough so if the nut etc was disturbed they could see as the paint would crack. It was a safety thing and also a warranty thing at the same time, if the paint was broken they'd deny the warranty claim for instance.

He/she/it/that might appear on this forum as I’ve left a short note tucked under the seat strap.

I've approved a couple of new registrations in the last hour so you never know!
