Honda-SOHC

My bike came with a pair of new shock absorbers already fitted - clearly not the original ones (old rusty ones came in a box)  they will do for now - there are odd mounting bolts fitted top and bottom with the top mounts being clearly having rubber bushes that are both different with extra rubber washers on one side - they look as though they have been a bit of a bodge fit.

I'm going to have to fit some new top bushes so they at least match. Does anyone recognise the brand as I can't see a makers stamp jumping out at me. I'm hoping I can get some aftermarket Poly Bushes or something similar so they fit correctlyRear Damper by Macabe Thiele, on Flickr if I cant identify them.

I was given 2 free oil filters with the bike are EMGO any good they came with the two O rings?

The front brakes aside from the disc itself was all in bits in various boxes so yesterday decided to see what is obviously missing with a view to assembling the unit.
I have photographed what I have - so far I need the to replace the following that is apparent at first glance.
No mounting bolts or nut to attach the support to the front fork including associated washers. No bolts to clamp the two halves of the caliper together. The odd spring and long screw has no nut/end plus the screw is out of shape.
It came with a replacement piston as the old one is badly damaged - it has a brass coloured end part - I am assuming that that goes against one of the brake pads. I have no pin between two pads mentioned in the manual but the roll pin type locaters for the pads are OK. I have new DS pads with the nylon pad cushion. DS I guess will be able to supply the bits that I have mentioned as missing & the long bent screw.

Anything else I need to worry about - the caliper bore looks good I have no idea if the piston seal is the original or has been replaced - it looks as the design does not include what I would describe as a dust/water seal/bellow.

I've been looking for a torque setting for the above nut - does 30Lb-ft sound about right?

I'm going to reassemble the clutch later today I have only just noticed one plate is different from the other six being a tad narrower.

Not sure which end this one goes is it the first or the last ?

All but one of my clutch plates have a notch marked on them what is the marking for please is it something to do with the assembly my manual does not seem to mention them?

I've got the clutch basket out now  and am wondering if I ought to replace the friction plates  regardless of condition?

The only marks I can see are very slight surface imprints of the clutch discs on the plates - no grooves or anything. Looking through the receipts I got with the bike no sign of any clutch parts having been purchased by the last owner though it has clearly been dismantled before due to the damaged lock nut.
To my surprise the clutch was not stuck either the operating cable is in very poor condition so this may have been the reason it seemed to have poor travel with no real feel.
The friction material doesn't look worn but then I don't know how meaty they are when new.

What's the views here replace it anyway together with the springs ?
Is there a better brand than DS ?
