Yes, would be F2 then. Is there any way you could get it welded?. I think only a CB400 swing arm fits these bikes, unless someone on here knows different.

Not sure M.O.T. man would accept a repair to a swingarm.

Might be worth seeing if DK have one, they break loads of imports, even if its an F1 part, you can grind the footrest brackets off before painting/coating.

You don't hang around  ;D
I'm sure it won't fit a CB400/4 though, it looks a different shape and the ends of the swing arm are 'open' on our bikes where the chain adjusters mount. Also, where the bolt and collar go through is one solid tube on the CB and not just 2 small round collars.

If your original swing arm isn't too far gone, could you not get that repaired at work? ( I know it's not the optimum solution Hairy but at least it fits the bike !!!)

As an ex MOT man a properly repaired swing arm is OK

Steve Cooper at http://www.400fourbits.co.uk/ has two swing arms although both are early type with footrest brackets but these can be ground off prior to paint. The second swing arm has been freshly powder coated so maybe not a good idea.
I don't know how much he's asking for either.

Just picked this up ...beeen out all day ... I have one from a really  low miler but  can't remember for sure if it's off an F1 or F2  as it's at my stash ..would sell for same price as the eBay one. Definitely off a 400/4 though.
