Post by: paulbaker1954 on February 19, 2019, 08:16:31 AM
I have a slight oil leak that i am sure emantes from the o ring between the head and jugs

Is there any easier merhod to replace this without taking the head fully off

I suspect not but thought id ask in case there is an easy way

Easy answer no BUT check the leak is not from an end cap area first

As Bryan said, impossible  ;D

Did you use a aftermarket head gasket and the o ring that came with it ? The Honda head gasket was 0.8mm thick and a lot of the aftermarket ones are 1mm. The problem with a lot of the aftermarket suppliers is they just used the data from Honda for the o rings and a lot are not thick enough to make a seal with a 1mm head gasket so, a upgrade is needed  ;)
