Added a Dyna-s to the 350f today, makes a lot of difference to start up, repaired a sealed light unit by converting to H4, got a new unit on order though, and put a tail tidy on my Z Thou [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ]
Would have MOT'd it last Saturday but for the light, so took it today and she passed the light set up and aim was perfect, i will still MOT my bikes even though they don't need to be , will still change it when new unit arrives though.

CB350/400 / David silver electronic ignition's
« on: January 14, 2019, 08:22:55 AM »
Has anyone got one of The David Silver electronic ignitions on their 350/400 4, if so what are they like?  I already have experience with Dyna and Boyer, both good and reliable with Boyer at disadvantage due to the box you have to find a home for.

CB350/400 / stator output.
« on: July 25, 2018, 10:17:38 PM »
Having a bit of charging trouble, replaced rec/reg with a modern unit due to poor charging and now getting over 16volts at battery replaced with another new unit and the same whole harness is good as is new, put old harness on, same result, getting 22/23 volts on each phase, anyone had this sort of problem, as everything checks out ok was wondering if M&P have a dodgy batch, they are going to replace with another brand of reg/rec.

CB350/400 / Stator
« on: March 13, 2018, 09:33:42 PM »
I was thinking about stator outputs, and wondered if the 550four stators are the same physical size as the ones in the 350/400fours, i ask this as the 550s have a 200 watt output where the 350/400s only have a 156 watt output, so i am thinking if they are physically the same size it would be a worthwhile conversion and upgrade. So if anybody knows it would be appreciated.

CB350/400 / 350f harness
« on: January 27, 2018, 06:55:08 PM »
My old harness was very brittle so i thought time for a replacement, electrex world harness on my mat in less than 24 hours, 2 hours to put on, all very good and at £60 posted much better than DSS, the old one is still complete and working and will be cleaned and re-sleeved at a later date.
Absolutely worth going to if you need a harness replacement.

CB350/400 / Flooded Fens.
« on: January 14, 2018, 12:22:21 PM »
Took the little old girl out for a blast on the Fens today, this was at Welney, quite well flooded, as you can see i have put the 4 into 4 back on, the thinking is why should i save these for when i eventually sell for someone else to enjoy, i thought i would not pamper this motor anymore and ride it as it should be and give it the beans through the gears, took her up to about 80mph and using the full spread of each gear, low and behold not as much of a slouch as i thought she was and what a thoroughly great ride out, at just over 5k miles this bike is barely run in, dare i say i actually enjoy this bike more than my z1000 and i am a born Zed head. CB500/550 / My old 500 k3 on ebay
« on: September 09, 2017, 01:12:53 PM »
Just seen this on ebay, it's my old k3 500, i sold it in 2003 and have always regretted it, looks like it's suffered a bit under it's latest owner who bought it a couple of years ago, i done the disc conversion and the boyer, i also had the valve cover repaired when it was mine, the most reliable bike i have ever owned.

CB350/400 / mph for rpm
« on: July 12, 2017, 07:13:26 PM »
Does anyone know what 50mph equates to in RPM for the 350four, i have a feeling my speedo is not showing the correct speed, i feel like the speedo is showing more than it feels like it's going,  unless it's just me not being used to such a tiny bike,
