Humour / Broke Down
« on: July 03, 2017, 04:55:11 PM »
A Triumph rider breaks down one fine sunny day in the countryside. He sees a BMW approaching in the distance so decides to flag the rider down and ask for assistance. The BMW rider pulls up and dismounts " Are you OK chap?" asks the BMW rider. The Triumph rider says "Have you got a wrench I could borrow?". The BMW rider opens his pannier and says "Certainly my good man, what type of wrench do you need? A monkey wrench?, a torque wrench?, a pipe wrench?.........". The Triumph rider says "It don't matter mate, I was gonna use it as a hammer".

No worries Dave, how did the tram ride go? I hope that other guy got his full penny's worth of rides. Now this bike seriously had me drooling but I've always had a thing for the Hurricane, I'm sure Honda had this bike in mind when they styled the first 650 Nighthawk :-* [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

I overtook this bike on the way there, I waved to the rider and he waved back, I figured he was going to Crich. I wanted to ask the owner what it was but I never saw him, nobody else seemed to know what it was other than being an MV that is. :-\ [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Thanks for the Cluoffer Clunker.  I've made arrangements to park my tent in a pub garden in Shirland, about 5 miles away.  It's in the Good Beer Guide with a tent-symbol.  Best way to find a campsite in my opinion.

No problem mate, hope to see you there. Regards Clunker

Is anyone going on Saturday?   I plan to chuck a tent up somewhere and have a few pints.

Mike, you are welcome to chuck your tent up in my garden, I'm 18 miles South of the Tramway Museum (Derby) so we could plod up there Sunday morning, I'll be on my Zephyr as I'm getting a bit bogged in my CB. Got bog facilities, local Asian corner store and a range of takeaways. I don't do the local pubs but there is off road parking. Please let me know if you are interested. Regards, Clunker

I think those plugs would be my number one priority  ;D. I had one of these bikes many moons ago, it was only 2 or 3 years old at the time. Advertised as a non runner for £70, I expected to see a wreck when I turned up. When I got to the address there was a showroom condition bike on the driveway, I thought the one for sale would be dumped in the garage, but no......it was the one on the driveway. The guy just wanted rid, said he couldn't be bothered with it. I tried to start it but it just wouldn't go, didn't bother messing with it too much as I'd nipped out from work, I paid the guy and removed the battery, told him I'd be back later. Charged the battery at work, bought new set of plugs, got a lift to the guys house, replaced battery, put plugs in and it fired up 8), bargain! Went to start it the next day and it wouldn't start! ::)
