For tapering bolt ends just press it into a rotating grinding stone at a slight downward angle rotated with the "screwdriver" kept in position through a hole in a piece of metal plate. Have done that a hundred times over the years I've been in the hobby world of RC Bikes. 20 25mm bolts costs the same as 6mm long ones. So just shorted to the needed length.

Registration date 1/5 69! Is that Jan 1 or May 5th?
My E Vin is 240 higher and cast on date 5-19!
Think there have been a date for start of sale and definitely later than May!

Like asked above I refitted the original front wheel to my Sandcast now more than 46 years after it was changed for a 10" Münch drum brake off my previous BMW.
It fits exactly in the middle of fork legs. Measured with a piece of edge shaped 6mm plywood.
It is not possible to fit the axel from wrong side without the disk touching left fork leg.
By the way fork legs look mirror to one another with logs.
Above said right leg had no logs for a second brake.

Hallo Ash. Have a Shopmanual: Honda CB750. Always believed I got it with the bike but now backside says: '70.1 (SM) A 1.
Front picture rear left half of a front wheel, if that's a distinction. And it's got 2 counter mutters on short air valve! Noticed this on my wheel just the other day!
Same green colour as the one above.
If your's a different one I wouldn't mind have it, but I'm a novice on computers can't be told anything as I have no idea what is said! (pdf format)!
Or what actually to do in the case. That's why no pictures. But thank you all the same.

In the day never checked the side badge for correctness.
It is now found to have the number 123.
And left side panel disappeared on day 3 i.e. August 23 '69.
New parts were ordered, but never fitted.
Emblem should have been 124!
Which I've just been made aware of.
And indeed the 2 have wings to the same side.
Some day with a deep breath I'll put the old thing together again.
That's why I follow all your information here, and checking with my parts

Can´t help wonder how will it feel to sit on that oil filler cap?
Or is it just me siting close on the petrol tank?
Been on a Seeley since ´78. Even with the short 19 litre tank
Though with original oil tank.

My BVMW R75/5 do have same numbers as had my original R69S.
My Sand cast frame ends on 76 and engine on 38.
In the US Sooc forum another dane claims the numbers 1661/1660 for one of his sand casts.
To be taken with a grain of salt as both my vins are wrong in that list put there by him a decade ago.

Your side stand does not look too short anymore!?
In the day insisted on a black enamelled frame.
Even covered the bright green stickers on frame tube material with black tape!
A nickel plated frame costed 25 pounds more (my keyboard only $ and €!)
Remember someone in the forum snap at a cheap painted frame.
Paied 20 extra for bright red paint on tank/seat.

I bend a piece of metal 3mm thick round the brake shoe "foot" 40 years ago on my CB750.
Had to use them also when new shoes were fitted around millennium change!
There were about 0.5mm lining left on the most worn brake shoe!

Had a test ride on a 2014 model Zero this autumn. Sorry not the faster one.
Couple of times grabbed for a clutch and stepped on a gear pedal also not there
Frame felt a little flimsy but fun non the less.
Hardly an hours ride on one charge!
Display says how far it reckons there is still power on for.

As for the feel of a short wheel base I added a link to the chain!
Youer Seeley indeed look taler as it needs a whole battery under side stand.
Centre stand only mounted when doing work on bike and kept upright for that with a strap up round the alternator!

As for the short side stand one from a 500 is about about 1" longer.
In the day used a wooden block under the stand like your red box.
Rubberbands through a hole in it heaved it up for me to place over carburettor intakes!
By the way think Grimace brake is printed Grimeca!
