One of the nicest looking BSAs built I reckon.A friend of mine built a replica for his son few years ago.Eddie Dow had a Renault car dealership in Banbury with a RGS in the showroom in early 80s I didn’t know who he was then and not sure if I met him 😁

Personally wouldn’t put a black/silver plate on a post ‘73 bike and in the day 1970 onwards one would put a reflective plate on their bikes

I worked processing titanium rotor blades for jet engines many years ago and a Kolene salt bath would strip the tungsten coating from the blades leaving the titanium like new

Trichloroethylene been banned for a while now,can be deadly inhaling the fumes believe it was used in dry cleaning? and industrial uses too.I had a bottle of Trich on shelf  in garage got knocked over and dripped onto me cd/radio melting the casing. There is a safer substitute available but strangely smells same

In a previous life I machined parts to recondition  Challenger  tank hydraulic steering units and would sleeve worn bearing surfaces by shrinking a sleeve in using araldite to bond it.I’d still pin a brake hub sleeve😁

You could go quite a bit bigger as you can shove them up a much smaller hole but obviously more force needed and powerful drill, when I used one I held the single cylinder in lathe chuck and the flex-hone in a Jacobs chuck
