Is the top fork clamp of a kawasaki triple, possibly a KH 250 or 400?

I would agree with Mag1, I bought my CB500K2 from D&K and it was much better than I thought it would be, they delivered it at the agreed time and date and it is the only old bike I have bought that not one fastener was seized solid and snapped, when being dismantled. I would buy from them again.

Hi Ken, thanks for the info on the VHT paint, will definitely use it if I rebuild my engine, it looks superb.

Can I ask what paint you used on your engine casings, cylinder head and barrels, they look great?

Give it a go yourself, I rebuilt my KH 250 wheels and paid someone to true them up, on my CB500 I built and trued them up myself. I bought a wheel jig from the National Motorcycle Museum about £120 and just took my time. There are some great videos on you tube which show you how to do it.The most important bit if I remember correctly is you must fit all the spokes that go from the outside to the inside before attaching any spokes to the rim, you can add the other ones at any time.

I have registered an American import CB500K2 with the DVLA, and changed a UK KH250 with the Post Office in the last year or so to historic vehicles, both have been totally painless. I believe I will also have, no issues when I finish repairing my 1977 Triumph T140V  and change it to a historic vehicle. Just follow the rules and present the right paperwork and the system works.

Motobatt for me every time, they seem to survive long periods of inactivity with no problem.

You should be able to get a replacement that fits from here https://www.vehiclewiringproducts.co.uk/ I used them to create a complete new harness for my KH250, including plugs and sockets that matched items I was reusing.

I can't comment on your carbs, but the part number of the complete kit would suggest that it is a Keyster repair kit, I bought 4 of these for my CB500 K2 from Silvers and they worked first time, I have also used them on my KH250 and a Cb175, I like them, but plenty of people don't. My KH carbs eventually had to be cleaned 3 times each in my small ultrasonic cleaner, finally at a temperature of over 80 degrees C for around an hour each. I think people blame the repair kits when it is blocked airways in the carb that is causing the problem. Good luck whichever way you decide to proceed.

Received my exhausts this morning, only just had time to open the box. Really pleased with them have put some pictures below so everyone can see them, although the pictures aren't great.

Hope these help people form an opinion, I did not get any instructions with mine although the cover letter says there should be some.

Thanks Oddjob for the information just ordered a set, after checking with Silvers who said they do not currently have a delivery date. I wished I had bought a set last year and didn't want to miss this opportunity of getting one this time.
