Title: Log book of a bike from USA
Post by: billy192 on February 06, 2013, 01:17:44 PM
Hi,
If I restored a bike that's been imported from the USA I know I get a age related plate but is it mentioned on the log book that its from the USA?
Thanks
Billy

It usually states, the bike was registered in another country , but does not say which one

Hi Billy

Both of mine state they were Registered/used over seas and declared manufactured 1972 even though they are both 71's
So they are on K plates instead of a J.
Both say they have no previous owners.Even though I have the previous address in America for one off them.

If you register it you will be the first keeper here so thats all thet DVLA care about and the log book will say and I quote:-

"Was registered/used overseas. Declared manufactured ****"

It will also say inside what date it was registered in the UK
