Hi, sorry this is probably old ground but can anybody confirm the thickness of the d washers in the top yoke clamp?
Also is their just one size for all models that require these?

Why? The thing is the stud was good and the nut wasn’t even stuck on the stud.

It’s a miracle anything connected! All cleaned now, every terminal from every connector removed and cleaned. Still planning new harness. Harness stripped and checked renewed a few connectors, just to do until bike is painted and to check everything else.

Set out to rebuild rear wheel today and this is what I encountered. Haven’t been in touch with suppliers yet. New DID rim from silvers. And stainless spokes from central wheel components.

Difficult to see where the retainer edge is. Punch marks must be about hub and retainer edge.

When I switch the ignition on I get a bit of heat in the black lead coming from the switch at the connecting block. So after a bit of fettling I discovered that when I disconnect the black lead from the voltage regulator that cures it. There appears to be open circuit from all three terminals to ground when tested this can’t be normal. Thoughts anybody? (Bike is not running when tested)

Guess this is what fried the wires. Bit of black insulating tape by previous owner didn’t quite get to the root of the problem. 😂

Modification to replacement rectifier by adding heat sinc. Not found a lot of heat in it yet but “belt and braces”

Changed oil today, now lost oil pressure, didn’t change filter but drained oil from filter housing. Any tips! Prime? And yes I have put oil back in.
