Hi all...
I've a 650 engine but in struggling to find year of it...
RC03E 2123818 is the number, anyone help - I've seen this page but not sure I understand it correctly - http://www.sohc4.com/cb550/cb650/
Thanks in advance!

Is it a UK model or a USA import?. Is your VIN number the format of the 1st on that list or the 4th on that list?
-
According to the page it's a 79. The 80 started with a different prefix on the engine number.
Scrub that, looking at the frame number, it's looks like an 80 SC model.

I’ve just bought one of these sohc 650s ( not collected it yet ) it only has 1 front brake disc and speedo in kilometers I’m guessing it’s a Canadian import? Haven’t got the engine/frame numbers yet

My 650 custom, got it on the road in March.

Lovely job, mint. What carbs are they ?
-
PD50, they were a nightmare to get running right but they are ok now.
I bought a set of VB44’s to go on but they don’t fit as the later 650’s from 1981 had different head spacing.
-
I found some Gpz600 ones which fit and apparently work well - according to the US forum. Just never had it running on them!
-
What year/ model GPZ 600 are they from. I cant seem to find any with correct spacings !

They won’t line up, you have to use the original GPZ carb rubbers as they are staggered.
