A man is lying in a hospital bed with an oxygen mask over his mouth, A beautiful nurse walks in to check up on him, "Nurse,"he mumbles from behind his oxygen mask, "Are my testicles black?" Embarrassed, the young nurse replies,"I don't know, im only here to sit you up or help you roll over." Struggling,he again asks,"are my testicles black?" Young nurse replies,"I don't know, im not a doctor I cant check that." he again asks,"are my testicles black, I know you can check?" Finally she raises his gown, holds his penis in one hand, and holds his testicles in the other,"There's nothing wrong with them!"
The man pulls off his oxygen mask and replies,
"That was nice, but are my test results back"

Hi Chaps. Last year I had 'personal' multi car / bike breakdown insurance with GEM. Covered me + 1 other named person as the driver, or as a passenger in/on any car or bike of any age. Special intro deal for 1st year was about £73. Just had renewal through and premium is £119 in total. Not surprised at the increase as repeat business and new business is always cheaper. Before I spend hours trawling the interweb for new cover, can anyone suggest an alternative provider? Ta in advance Julie x

Hi All. I'm not sure if Steve is displaying the donations on a month by month basis now but somethings changed. Anyway, before our dearly departed Ralph screams down our necks for being bloody tight maybe a little rummage in our piggybanks is needed to help Steve maintain this great forum. Just think what s**t some of us would be in without it Xxx

Hi All I have just seen that the Sammy Miller Museum down in the New Forest, is holding the Japanese Bikers Day on Saturday 11th June this year. Quite a few of us forum members met up for this last year and it was an excellent day out and a good weekend. It was an opportunity to put faces to names, crawl over each others bikes and generally have a good laugh. http://sammymiller.co.uk/Julie xx

Hi Chaps
I was going to fit new points to Hettie on her early spring service but reckon I may go the electronic ignition route instead. I have been told that Boyer is the make to fit, has anyone had any problems with this type or know of a different type worth considering ?

Hi Chaps. I'm sure this subject has been covered before but some advice. The CB500KO gets picked up tomorrow. Now, I know it's exempt from RFL but, does the new owner have to tax it and then claim the tax back or what? I have never had to do this before so any advice will help Ta Julie

Hi All.
For those of you that have known 'Bitsa', sad news I'm afraid. I have just had a phone call from Ralph's wife Jane. Ralph died late yesterday evening at his home in France. He was 60 a few weeks ago. He had Cancer and had been undergoing treatment which unfortunately had not worked. Jane said that Ralph had had a 'blast' on the forum and loved all the humour and banter that went with it.
He will be sadly missed by many.

Hi Chaps I'm going to refurb a set of carbs for the 550 and 2 of the brass float pins are well and truly stuck. Before I resort to my preferred method of removal, the hammer and nail trick , is there any other way they can be removed?. I think I was very lucky I didn't snap the posts when I did the 400/4 ones but, my luck may run out this time. Ta in advance Julie

Hi Chaps. Looks like I have a problem with the front end of my bike, its a bit unstable !!!. What I'm looking for is a good pivot arm and pin for my 400F but the 500/4 and 550/4 also fits I have been informed. Has anyone got one lurking in a dark corner somewhere please?. Ta in advance Julie

Hi Chaps
Just started bike up and there is small puddle of sooty/ watery condensation on the floor under where down pipe No.1 joins the collector box. This wasn't there before I started it up from cold but noticed it the other day also when starting up. Last time I took it out I did about 100 miles and thought that would be plenty of miles to burn off any condensation in the pipes.I have had a quick feel along the collector box and the silencer and cannot find any drain holes so I'm assuming the water collects as bike is cooling down and can't find it's way out till I start her up again. Should there be a drain hole somewhere and why didn't this happen last year ?. I had system off over the winter and other than fitting new exhaust packing between 1 and 3 and the collector to the silencer, nothing has changed. Any ideas?
Ta in advance Julie x

Hi Chaps. I had a slight problem with the handlebar switches. Could not get horn to work all the time and no main beam up and no headlamp flasher / passing light either. Took left hand switch apart, cleaned, re sprung the springs a bit. Horn now working, now have main beam, a mystry to me as I thought that all happened on the right hand side!!. Also had spaghetti wiring out of headlamp bowl, to check connections etc. Anyways, the passing light is still not working, does it only work when engine running?.
Ta in advance
