Hi all. My next project, a CB750K5, is on it's way and was just wondering if anybody would be interested in me doing a rebuild thread similar to the 350F and 450 Bomber. Not sure anything new is going to be gleaned from it though as 750's have been done a thousand times, plus it is a lot of effort to do (which I don't really mind). Let me know what you think. Cheers Roy.

Absolutely Roy - I love watching your restorations so please do share…

I find project threads very informative reading. I'm mainly interested in the 400/4 but other models flag up similar hurdles. Two threads on the same bike may highlight different problems that are solved in different ways - perspective & restorer skill sets are very instructive. Also as restoration becomes more popular parts availability changes. The recent availability again of taper roller headstock Bearings that actually fit the 400 is an example.
My long winded way of saying YES please.

Yes .. I would deffo be pleased to see it Roy.
Is it a private import?

There's always something new to be learned, so yes please
Cheers

Yes please, a fantastic reading and leaning opportunity.

Yes....of course you should do a blow by blow thread Roy.........I have seen your rebuilds in real life and they are all splendid. As my eldest Daughter says - 'If you've got it....flaunt it' ! LOL.
There is always somebody new on these Forums and there are always questions that a newcomer wants to ask but is too worried about being seen to be naive or stupid........not that the lovely peeps on this Forum take the piss (unlike some other bike Forums), so let's see what you are up to and we can all share the ups and downs.
Your CB350 and the Black Bomber threads from the recent past were really interesting and the CB750 one will no doubt be just as entertaining and informative........don't forget that this one will also be in the archives and available for others who might go down that path in the future. Good stuff, done well is 'Gold Dust' when you are embarking on a journey into the unknown !
One of my 'mantras' when I was an Auditor and a Quality bloke was - 'If it isn't written down....it never happened' - so having a storyline and photos makes your end result that much more worthwhile - and valuable to any potential future Buyer.
Go for it our Kid.

Well that's six for, and zero against so looks like I will be doing it. Will start it tomorrow.

And seven, yes please!

And eight - will be interesting

Ah Ken your contrary gene is still in good working order. 😁

Another in favour, it's good to see how these projects progress.

Yes please Roy. It's winter and a rebuild thread makes good reading (and viewing). Good luck with it👍

Thanks for all the votes of confidence, except OddJob of course. The build thread has now started here: Honda CB750K5 Restoration by Royhall (sohc.co.uk) (http://www.sohc.co.uk/index.php/topic,27283.0.html)

Why do I feel victimized here?

Cos you are just like me Ken Damned awkward!

Why do I feel victimized here?
You can have a campaign of your own to disprove guilt "oddjob ken is innocent" :)
A bit like those old sign "bill stickers will be prosecuted" to which someone had added in graffiti " bill stickers is innocent " usually on a bus shelter in the 70s ;D

No your right Ken your being victimised.
