Hello everyone!
Thanks for the acceptance. I'm rebuilding a 1976 CB750F1. Having completed the teardown and with some parts at the machine shop, I'm looking forward to the re-assembly and to sharing some useful info.

How I wish I could manage the weight of a 750/4 the other day I struggled to turn my tidly 400/4 around on my bike lift - yes it was uphill and the chain was too tight so the ramp was a massive gradient plus the front brake was binding - happy days.
Welcome to our community - if I were 23 years younger my project 400/4 rebuild would be 24 hours from away completion - as it is I'm "probably" with a big "P" still 3-4 months away from pressing the start button.
Now I know what they meant on American Chopper - IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BUILD.

The 400 is dog slow and the 750 is just too heavy and cumbersome. We are knowledgeably informed that the intelligent solution is a 500 or 550, especially the 550 with its superior drivability and improved gearbox. 1977 F2 is the fastest and especially the ones in any side of red.
I wouldn’t know as I ride a BMW.

True dat.
Except of course the 500 looks miles better, especially from the back, those 4 pipes just scream class. Colour, has to be gold, black is acceptable but NOT U bend brown.
