Hi,
Can anyone recommend a reliable, painter in the North West of England for a quick turn around on a side panel to match this one.
I have a new black plastic one to be painted and decal applied.

Hi,
I thought I'd put it out on here first.
I'm close to P/exing my 550 and have been offered £5250 in P/Ex, so maybe if anyone interested I'd take the same in cash/transfer.
I've recently changed oil/filter, new battery, nos left switch ( from Oddjob) new throttle cables, brake pads, it's not a show bike but is in very good condition.
As you may have seen from another post, I lost the r/h side panel but have bought a new one and will have it painted before the sale. Also have grabrail fitted and new switch since these photos.

After riding and the engine/gearbox are hot, I've noticed the gears are harder to engage and quite often get a missed gear between 1-2 and 3-4.
Could this be due to selector forks or worn dogs on gears, or clutch possibly.
Any ideas ??

Hi, As title says I'm hoping someone can tell me the best way to get a feed for my Quad Lock wireless charger from. I've currently (see what I did there?) , got it connected directly at the battery but obviously can't stay like that. I want it to become live with the ignition on only. Pointers to which wire and location please. TIA

Hi does anyone know the 750 on ebay advertised by Misterflump. It's a red 76 CB750, looks like import with large indicators.

Hi, having acquired a grab rail, I need rear indicators with the large diameter opening to take the larger spigot which goes on the grab rail, as per pics. I'll swap for the smaller diameter spigot and indicators or buy them, whichever is best.

Does anyone have the parts for sale or can point me in the right direction to buy what I need for a twin disc set up on my CB 550 F2 , also regarding braided lines and M/C swop if deemed necessary. Thanks.

Had a quick search but couldn't find what I was looking for.
So.... which make are the best gripping pads for the 550F, not too bothered if they wear quickly. Also where's best to get them from.
TIA Paul

Hi guys, my memory isn't good enough to remember back to '76 when I had my first 550 F, I can't remember how the std, mirrors were fastened on. I seem to recall the left (or both) was a left hand thread. My current 550F2 has a clamp around the handlebar with the mirror attached !! It doesn't look OEM.
Could you post up pictures of both sides where mirrors attach please.
Also the right hand switchgear, I think should only show lights ON/OFF and not HIGH/LOW. Pictures speak a thousand words.
Cheers.

Can anyone recommend a good, accurate set of vacuum gauges to be used on a 550F2. They seem to vary from about £35 to £200.
Or is anyone selling a set?? Cheers, Paul

There's a CB550F, 1979 in good condition , not perfect a few not original parts, but mostly all there.
They're asking £5250, is that high, good or just ok??
Not been in this buying market so would like to get some ideas, cheers

Hi, New to the forum, don't have a SOHC nor a Honda at the moment, but I had one of the first CB550F1 in 1976 in the gorgeous blue. It was my first big bike after passing my test on an SL125 the step was massive but I survived. I soon dumped the original heavy and quiet exhaust for a black S&S 4-1, K&N individual pods Girling gas shocks and ace bars. I thought it was the fastest thing around at the time. Like a lot of guys I'm on the look out for another one if anyone knows of any going. Cheers
