You cant fit the F2 discs to the earlier wheel and the F2 calipers wont fit the earlier legs, I believe, but havent tried it, that you can fit the complete wheel; muguard;legs fron an early one to the F2 yolks although i think it will alter the handling as i think they are a different length overall. As to the rear by making/adapting spacers it should be possible but the F1 runs 530 chain and the F2 630 and i dont think the sprockets swop OR the carriers.
If you want to get away from the comstars i have a pair of cast Lesters(I think) for an F2 complete with discs, spindles etc. These can be "hagled" for as i dont have, and have no intention of having, an F2

Steve, my local tester has been jumped on by the man from the ministry who sez that the exhaust must be as quiet as a similar bike "IN STANDARD CONDITION" with a non rotted exhaust.
This relaces the BS number regulation---I had one customer argue that one till i pointed out the BS number he had was chrome quality NOT noise standard!!!
The only one i know that pass "out of the box" are Motad all the others require insertion of fiberglass!!!

There is no easy way to increase the generator output but an electronic regulator will give a more reliable charge, Frank Cooper (Steve have you his web site address?) did have a circuit diagram for a home made one, at lower revs and give you the option of charging to a higher voltage, which would be OK with the car battery but NOT the original bike size one, whatever type you use the 3 ohm coils will tax the system and to be honest, unless you are doing lots of miles electronic can be a pain as if there is a problem there is never a roadside fix. My honest opinion is electronic is only worth it if you are doing 9,000 or over a year as that would be 3 gap + timing checks
