Title: How to remove scratches in plastic inner mudguard
Post by: philward on October 19, 2020, 07:06:14 PM
Any tips on removing the scratches in the plastic inner mudguard? I have no problem with polishing, its more the quite deep scratches - is it the normal course to fine abrasive paper technique you use on metal?

That's one of the jobs Graham gives me to do Phil 🙄🙄🙄. Fine sand paper then wet and dry and a buff with a polishing wheel.

Julie,
What polishing wheel do you use for this.
I have been cleaning and smoothing a couple of plastic bits and wondered if you used the sort for alloy polishing on a grinder or a car body type polisher etc?
Any advice very welcome before I start.

Cheers,
Andy

I will need to get Trig to answer that one Andy. He has huge boxes of different wheels for all different things and I haven't a clue which ones he uses. Hopefully, he will reply soon, I'm at the hairdressers being pampered 😁😁😁😁
