Just browsing eBay. Looking at 750f1's which I admit to having a soft spot for.
I spotted a F1 Cafe Racer. Which looks ok. If you like that sort of thing. But I think. If one is going to do something different. Do yer own thing. Not buy someone else's.
But my point is. How can someone take a bike. Then throw half of it away. Then ask 3 times what a original mint bike is worth?

After a day out on my CD175a sloper.
I was left wondering. Why is it. My 67 "get to work bike" is so much faster than my "sports" CB175k6 with its twin carbs etc.
The CB is in top condition. Whereas. The CD engine is getting ready for a refurb. There is almost 20 mph difference & the CD is quicker of the mark too. Don't get me wrong tho. I'm very happy with both bikes but. On paper the CB should be the quicker bike by far. But isn't! So I just wonder why.

Hello Folks.
I have a problem. That I'm hoping someone could help me with.
My 750 is a very good & willing starter normally but..
Last week it started & ran great.
However. Today I gently washed it with bucket & cloth. No hose.
When I came to start it. Push the button. Engine turns over. But nothing. All is dry in the points case. So I put a test plug in number 4 plug cap. And tried the button again. No spark. But if I arc the points with a screw driver. There is a spark.
Has anyone any ideas what could be wrong?
Your inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone had any experience in fitting Led indicator & clock bulbs. Into original Honda equipment.
If so. I would appreciate any advice regarding which bulbs fit & where to get them from.

Hello.
Looking for some thoughts here.
My K1 starts without choke. But drives really smooth once on the move.
But the idle hangs, then settles to a too slow tick over. Also when it warms up it pops & crackles on deceleration.
And stutters from closed throttle.
I can eliminate most of these niggles. By turning the pilot screws out. But it take 3.5 turns to do it.
Am I right in thinking. I need smaller pilot jets?
Maybe #38 or #35?
I am aware that it would be best to used standard pipes & filter. But I am very happy with things in general. But I find this little problem annoying.
So any help would be appreciated.

I realise this must have been asked before. So forgive me but.....
I have a 750k1 fitted with a original Marving 4 into 1pipe.
It also has Bell mouths.
The bike appears to ride quite well really but. Is a bit wooly when at low revs. Then pulls OK, ish but runs out of steam in the higher mid range.
What is the recommended starting point for jetting a bike with these mods?

Hello.
I remember recently reading on this forum. A discussion regarding Re-finishing the chrome plated exhaust clamps.
From experience. I have found recroming to be very unsatisfactory.
So I have a set away for ceramic coating. Using a product called Cerachrome. I have seen exhaust manifolds finished in Cerachrome and found it to be very impressive.
Has anyone on here tried this product on Exhaust clamps?
If not. I'll keep you posted.

I have removed the spark plugs.
Put 3.5 ltr of oil in the oil tank.
Now how long should it take to notice the oil level dropping,
Using the Kick-start to turn the engine?
